Metal Gear Solid is one of the most popular stealth franchise, the first game was released in 1987. The story of the game Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain begins in Ground Zeroes (the prequel for The Phantom Pain) in 1975 when Big Boss is in a recovery mission, but due to an air “accident” he enters in a deep coma – 9 years. He wakes up after all these years in a hospital. Here is the starting point of the story of the game. The protagonist meets with Miller and Ocelot to fight against XOP and Skull Face, but not only - read the guidelines.
During the 50 missions (if we consider the prologue, it will be 51), Snake will walk through Afghanistan and the border between Angola and Zaire.
Unfortunately, Konami and Kojima (the producers) have wanted to make a long campaign (this is not necessarily a bad thing) but, in chapter 2, you will have many missions that are part of the “main story”, but actually are some missions in the first chapter having the same objective, just because it is proposing to do that task in another way (not to kill anyone, to have a perfect stealth etc).
But in all, the story made by Kojima is almost perfect, like they accustomed us - discover all details.
One of the best aspects of the game The Phantom Pain is that the game takes place in an open-world environment, being the first game of the series that takes place in this way.
You have the opportunity to approach a mission as you want. You can be Rambo and throw yourself in the middle of the base to kill everything that stands in your way, being able to call a helicopter to help you, D-walker who is a companion robot that will help you in many situations, to send Quiet on a hill to destroy the enemies as a sniper or to ask D-Dog for help, a doggie that helps you to tag enemies - click to play.
If you like sneaking, which is the purpose of the game, you have countless opportunities to complete a mission without soldiers noticing you.
Unfortunately, open-world is not very nice in certain moments. Often you hope that you can skip a stone, but the horse or you D-walker stops in it. But this does not interfere with your gaming experience, so I did not put a lot of emphasis on this.
Otherwise, the game mechanics is very well implemented and you will get a bunch of hours of play. Getting on this subject, I must say that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a huge game with a huge variety of things that you will enjoy and most certainly you will not get bored.
In conclusion, I have only a few more words to say about this game. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a an amazing game, a must-have and must-play, especially if you are a stealth game fan, but not only.
